Start at Oregon Inlet fishing center and take a boat offshore for fishing, then drive south exploring all the village that Cape Hatteras, NC offers. Finish in Hatteras and take ferry ride to Ocracoke Island for peaceful adventure.
Sporting teams can bring a community together - what teams do you love to cheer for?
Hatteras Island doesn't have any professional sporting teams, but, we do have pro kiteboarders, windsurfers, and of course surfing legends! The kids at the local schools don't use ipads or iphones, just surfboards to grow up healthy!!!
How long have you lived in this incredible place? What brought you here and why you suggest someone else consider moving here?
I came to Hatteras Island from Virginia Beach in 1999 and never left. The place is addicting, habit forming, and peaceful.

Avon, NC, endless beaches, wind, waves, sand, and water... You can't find this lifestyle anywhere else that I have traveled over the years!
